YUHONG Fin Tube Procurement FAQ

2026-09-10

Choosing the right fin tube supplier is a critical decision for any heat transfer project. Yuhong Holding Group has manufactured fin tubes since 1990 and exports more than 80% of its output worldwide. Here are the answers to the questions our overseas buyers ask most often.

What is your minimum order quantity?

Our minimum order quantity starts from just one piece, and we welcome trial orders and prototype runs. You can check quality and dimensions on a small batch first, then commit to a larger order once you are satisfied.

Which fin tube types can you supply?

We produce the full range of finned tubes used in heat transfer equipment, including solid and high frequency welding fin tubes for fired heaters and furnaces, extruded bimetallic fin tubes for air coolers, wound L, LL and KL type fin tubes for heat exchangers, embedded G fin tubes for refrigeration, low integral fin tubes for condensers, longitudinal finned tubes, square and H-type fin tubes, serrated fin tubes, studded tubes, and enhanced heat transfer corrugated tubes.

What materials and standards do you meet?

For the base tube we work with carbon steel such as A106, A179 and A210, stainless steel such as TP304, TP316L and TP347H, and alloy steel such as A335 P22 and P9. Fins are typically made from aluminium such as Al1060 and Al1100, copper, stainless steel or 11 to 13Cr material. Our products are manufactured to ASTM and ASME standards, including A179, A213, A312, A335 and B111.

What is the production and delivery lead time?

Lead time is usually between five and seventy-five days, depending on quantity, specifications and the availability of raw material. With a supply ability of ten thousand tons per month, we can schedule even large projects reliably.

What are your payment terms?

We accept telegraphic transfer and letter of credit, and we are happy to discuss terms that suit the order value and a long-term partnership.

Can you customize dimensions and specifications?

Yes, customization is one of our strengths. Fin height, fin pitch, fin thickness, base tube diameter and tube length can all be tailored, and most of our output is made to customer drawings or specific technical requirements.

What quality tests and certifications do you provide?

Every fin tube is checked through hydrostatic, eddy current, heat treatment and hammer testing. We also hold ABS, BV, DNV, CCS and LR certifications, which gives buyers confidence for critical applications.

How are fin tubes packed and shipped?

Tubes are packed in ply-wooden cases reinforced with iron frames so that they arrive free from bending or surface damage. We ship worldwide by sea, air or courier, and we can quote on EXW, FOB, CIF or DDP terms.

DDP or FOB, which is more cost-effective when importing fin tubes from China?

For most regular buyers who already work with a freight forwarder, FOB is usually the more cost-effective and controllable option, because you negotiate your own ocean freight and keep control of import clearance, the HS code and the declared value. DDP, or Delivered Duty Paid, suits small trial orders or buyers without import capability: the supplier handles everything to your door, but the price is higher because it bundles freight, insurance, duties and risk. Remember that fin tubes are steel products, and many countries apply anti-dumping and countervailing duties to them. Under DDP, some suppliers under-declare value to reduce duty, and if customs inspects, the importer of record, meaning you, carries the risk of fines, seizure and back-duty. We therefore recommend FOB or CIF with a compliant declaration.

The comparison below summarises the two options:

Aspect FOB DDP
Who books freight Buyer Supplier
Import clearance & duties Buyer Supplier
Risk transfers At origin port At your door
Cost control High Bundled
Best for Regular bulk buyers Trial orders

Can I request samples before ordering?

Absolutely. Sample making is available for most of our products, so you can verify the material, fin geometry and workmanship before placing a bulk order.

Why source fin tubes from Yuhong?
